Developing the best Curriculum for your school

Target audience:

Head teachers and Curriculum Leaders

Outline of event:

This course consists of three full day sessions across the year which are designed to enable school leaders to reflect on their current curriculum and prepare for developing a clear vision for the future.

Each session will run 9.00am - 2.00pm

Learning and Teaching Outcomes:

The training events will address Ofsted three key principles of quality curriculum – Intent, Implementation and Impact and will cover the following lines of enquiry:

What is Curriculum?

What are you trying to achieve through your curriculum?
What makes it unique to your school? Is it meeting the needs of your children?
How do schools show families what their curriculum looks like?
How do schools find the balance between excellence and enjoyment?
How do we ensure progression and mastery across all areas of the curriculum?
How do we develop curriculum leaders?
How do we evaluate what we do and measure the impact of the wider curriculum?

We expect that all CPD will involve integral evaluation processes

Preparation:

Tasks will be emailed to delegates in advance of each session where appropriate.
