Outline of event:

This event will focus on 'developing an understanding of the roles and responsibilities of governors' in relation to the statutory guidance for Children Looked After and previously Looked After Children.

This event will be delivered by Maria Butler, Teacher and Training Co-ordinator for VCET.

Learning and Teaching Outcomes:

After completing this session, participants should be able to:

- To secure an understanding of the statutory responsibilities of governors in relation to CLA and PLAC pupils
- To develop an understanding of the role and responsibilities of the Designated teacher
- To be able to challenge and support school leadership in order to develop best practice
- To develop the confidence and expertise necessary to question and challenge school practice

We expect that all CPD will involve integral evaluation processes
