Grammar subject knowledge for Teaching Assistants

Target audience:

Teaching Assistants working with pupils in KS1 and KS2. Teachers who are new to teaching or returning to teaching who wish to refesh their grammar subject knowledge.

Outline of event:

This event is for KS1 and KS2 teaching assistants. It will focus on grammar and punctuation subject knowledge as well as clarifying national expectations for KS1 and KS2 pupils. Teachers who are new to KS2, in particular, may also find this training useful.

Learning and Teaching Outcomes:

As a result of this event, participants will:
* Improve their subject knowledge
* Be aware of the expectations for grammar and punctuation in KS1 and KS2
* Understand the terminology required
* Reflect on their current approaches to supporting pupils

We expect that all CPD will involve integral evaluation processes


Any preparation required with be notified in the letter of acceptance.
