EYFS: The Art of Brilliance
All early years practitioners
Outline of event:
This evening 2 hour event with a special price of twenty five pounds for each delegate is presented by the guest speaker Andy Cope. The session will provoke lots of thought and laughter, exploring how you can be you, brilliantly. The aim is to share some ‘secrets’ of Positive Psychology, focussing on learning new habits of thinking and behaviour that will sustain personal ‘brilliance’, in and out of work. Andy Cope is a qualified teacher, author and learning junkie. He’s just putting the finishing touches to a Loughborough University PhD thesis, with the aim of becoming the UK’s first ‘Doctor of Happiness’ (yes, really!) Andy is also a best-selling author; he writes the ‘Brilliant’ range of self-help books for adults and teenagers, and also pens the successful children’s ‘Spy Dog’ series for Puffin.
Andy has featured in numerous TV and radio appearances. He has also set up the hugely successful 2%ers club, the UK’s first, foremost and...err...only society for happy people.
Learning and Teaching Outcomes:
*Practitioners will be able to reflect on positive thinking and consider the areas explored by the speaker.
*Practitioners will be able to take new ideas back to cascade at their setting regarding consistent messages and link this to improved children's outcomes.
*Practitioners will have fun!
We expect that all CPD will involve integral evaluation processes
Come with an open mind and be prepared to have fun.
