NQT Induction Tutor Training - New to Role

Target audience:

New to or returning to role NQT Induction tutors or Subject/ Class mentors ( for colleagues who could not attend the July 2017 training event )

Outline of event:

This half day event will support NQT Induction Tutors and Subject/ Class mentors with understanding their role and statutory responsibilities as part of the NQT induction process. It will be a step by step process from registering NQTs using NQT manager to developing an appropriate action plan and personalised programme of support to writing effective and evaluative assessments. Resources will be shared and discussed fully. Opportunities will be provided throughout the session to discuss fully any queries or concerns.
This event will run from 9.15 to 12.00

Learning and Teaching Outcomes:

Induction tutors will have a full understanding of their role and be able to carry out their statutory responsibilities.
NQTs will be effectively supported through their induction.

We expect that all CPD will involve integral evaluation processes

Preparation:

Induction tutors to have read the DfE statutory NQT induction guidance
