NQT Welcome Event

Target audience:

NQTs ( NQT Induction Tutors are also welcome)

Outline of event:

The purpose of this event is to formally welcome the NQTs to the East Riding at the start of their Induction year.
There will be a cold buffet tea on arrival followed by a welcome by Mike Furbank, the Head of Children and Young People, Education and Schools.
The NQTs will receive a pack of information which will include the NQT Induction handbook, statutory guidance and additional information about CPD opportunities during the induction year.

This is an excellent opportunity to network with fellow NQTs, to talk to members of the Improvement and Learning Service, and to learn about our expectations for the Induction Year.

Two welcome events have been scheduled for Autumn term starters providing the following choice of dates:

Wednesday 27th September 2017 at 4.00 - 6.30pm
or
Thursday 28th September 2017 at 4.00 - 6.30pm

Additional Welcome events have been scheduled for the NQTs who start later in the Autumn term or at the start of the Spring term (16th January 2018 4.00 to 6.00pm) and for those starting in the Summer term (17th April 2018 4.00 to 6.00pm)

The events will provide an opportunity to network with NQT colleagues.

The NQTs will receive a pack of information which will include the NQT Induction handbook, statutory guidance and additional information about CPD opportunities during the induction year.

Light refreshments on arrival will be provided.

Learning and Teaching Outcomes:

The NQTs will develop greater clarity about the expectations for their Induction year.

The NQTs will receive a pack of information to support their induction.

We expect that all CPD will involve integral evaluation processes
