Training for Education Staff in regard to Supporting Pupils in School with Medical Conditions

Target audience:

All School Staff

Outline of event:

The training is facilitated by the Paediatric Specialist Nurses (PSN) and the
local authority. It will include:

FULL training for schools for the following conditions including the
storage and management of medication relating to them:
- Asthma
- Anaphylaxis
- Diabetes
- Epilepsy
Q&A session and an opportunity for advice and support around the
care of children and young people with care needs.
Opportunity to attend workshops relating to these conditions with
demonstrations from the PSN in that specialism.

Learning and Teaching Outcomes:

Storage and management of medication within the school setting

We expect that all CPD will involve integral evaluation processes
